Ibizans are pretty energetic, but as long as they're exercised they'd be fine in an apartment or small house. And two long walks would be fine. If each walk is 2.5 hours, one walk might even work. But they need time to run. So if you are planning on taking it to a large area on the weekends, that would work great.

And you're right about greyhounds, they have a more efficient gait, that is smooth and easy. Ibizans are more upright and springy.

Something to consider is that Ibizans are some of the best jumpers in the dog world and can easily clear a 5 foot fence. Even with 77 acres the dog would still jump a fence if it could.

As someone else said Cirneco Dell'Etna might work for you, they look like small Pharaoh Hounds, but if you'd like a large dog, they may not be for you. But there's also the Podenco Canario, a rare breed that I doubt be able to find.

Azawakh are my favorite breed, and they sound like they could be a match for you. They don't have prick ears, but they energetic without being hyper, large, very loyal to their owners, and very slim. They are highly suspicious of strangers, so you might not like that, but some eventually warm up to strangers, some don't. And they don't drool, and have a more upright gait and posture than Greyhounds giving them a springy appearance when moving.

Also try Thai Ridgeback Dogs. They are large, have prick ears, are a primitive breed, and would also fit your description. Also a rare breed, but it would be easier to find a Thai Ridgeback than it would be to find a Podenco Canario.

I'd be happy to talk more if you'd like to email me.

This quiz will help you to narrow down your search.

Although you say a greyhound doesn't carry itself right, it certainly ticks all your other boxes, and I would seriously consider one of them. Failing that, a Deerhound or even Irish Wolfhound may suit.
