The Greatest All Spherical Dog?
My
choice could be the 1 i own, a working border collie cross greyhound lurcher.

For the subsequent reasons -

Track greyhounds are pretty a lot totally free for inherited faults, so the initial cross is very bodily sound
Probably 3/4 of the intelligence of a border nevertheless a lot more layed back, so smarter than most dogs
Easy coat to handle
Can catch you your dinner
Quiet so very small barking to place up with
Great natured with individuals like most running dogs and not fighters with other dogs

Tell me your option
Labradors are
great however I’ve observed in England the show types are too large boned and generally more than fed by the owners.
Bassets also
have been bred in far too much of an exagerated way to make them now incapable of performing the job they had been bred for.
I see a
working kind a couple of weeks ago and it was a completely different dog, alert, inquisitive and able to run all day.

Of course, a golden or lab retriever. And maybe a German Shepherd. Good luck!

There’s a reason so many Americans have Labradors or Golden Retreivers. They’re pretty much the best all rounders, even though some dogs can be much better at other things. I’d say the Lab is probably the best all rounder and the easiest to manage. Easier to deal with their coat than a Golden’s too…

Though, of course, I’m partial to my Kuvasz. He’s a bit too headstrong for most people though.

well i liked my collie shepherd. she was quiet, layed back, good size, very intelligent, only playful around 5:00, and good woth all other pets. the only flaw was that she was a bit too smart and knew how to open cupboard doors, and get in the garbage and food… sigh…
she only barked when she saw a dog or squirrel out the window(she wasnt the most socialized dog in ther world) and when she played with out other dog,,, best.dog.ever.
she was also gorgeously coloured. sadly thoguh she passed on feb.1st 2010… about 6 days ago. if i were to get another dog someday, i would strongly consider getting a collie, german shepherd, or a mix of both. here is a picture of her in the sources :)

Obviously a Labrador. Couldn’t possibly be any other!! My best friend who loves me unconditionally, is always there for me and who I couldn’t live without.

Once you have had a basset hound you never want any other. They are so laid back, loving and full of character.I LOST my darling Molly last year but on the 22 of this month Sherlock a tri coloured basset baby comes home.Im on cloud nine.
